Dear PAS Community:
As the 2016-2017 school year comes to a close, we wish you and your children a lovely time of rest and relaxation during the upcoming vacation weeks!
This school year was full of accomplishments, including a total of 282 action steps from the strategic plan that were either achieved or are in progress in the four areas of emphasis based on “4 Pillars 4 the Future.” As a brief summary, this is the first year that Pan-American School has a group of 12th grade students, the first year completing the IB Diploma Program, and the first with graduates on the international calendar. Furthermore, this school year PAS was re-accredited with the highest rating from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), the decision was made to develop the Primary Years Program (PYP) and Middle Years Program (MYP) of the IB continuum so that all students at every grade level can benefit from the skills of the IB Diploma Program, the remodeling of the gym to a multi-purpose auditorium began, and the implementation of the Secondary Fitness program occurred. These accomplishments, among many others, continue to drive PAS forward in achieving our vision of being “a leading bilingual World School in Central America.”
We look forward to all that is coming for the 2017-2018 school year and seeing your children when they return to classes in August!
Our best to you and your families,
Elizabeth Head
General Director
